Florida State senior Breandan O Neill made the most of a 35-hour trip to Budapest, Hungary over the weekend, where he finished 22nd at the European Cross Country Championships.

Florida State women's cross country team swept the major Atlantic Coast Conference awards Thursday as Karen Harvey claimed her sixth consecutive Coach of the Year honor, while senior Violah Lagat was named Performer of the Year.

The national championship eluded the top-ranked Florida State women's cross country team, despite three Seminoles in the top 17. The Seminole men, however, rose up for fifth place, the second-best finish in program history.

The Florida State men's and women's cross country teams swept USTFCCCA South Region Athlete- and Coach-of-the-Year honors. The Seminoles were the most highly decorated programs in the country after dominating their respective races.
